It all began with a neighbor.

Back in 2000, I saw my neighbor, Mary, standing in her driveway completely frustrated. I asked her what was up and she told me her husband was bringing somebody home for dinner, but the house was a mess and the kids were underfoot. I just did what came natural — I jumped in and helped her out. The next morning, Mary came over and asked if I could help her every week and that’s how OCD Cleaners started.

I wanted to help with whatever was needed.

Over the past 20+ years OCD Cleaners has not only cleaned houses, we’ve organized closets, unpacked luggage, provided dog and cat sitting services, babysat and have even driven kids to school so mom and dad can do an early shift.

Not only that, we’ve packed lunches, prepared dinners, and switched laundry between the washer and dryer. For the most part, anything that needed to get done we gave it our all. If it helped give a customer a stress free day, that’s what we wanted to do.

I researched and studied chemicals and cleaning processes. It truly is a science! And I shared my knowledge and trained others.

I worked hard to grow OCD Cleaner’s reputation in the residential sector and built long-standing relationships with realtors, construction companies, manufacturing businesses, and small and large office building managers.

Sometimes, I’m asked, “Where does the name of your company come from?” and there’s the story behind that too.

I chose the name OCD Cleaners because I know firsthand the pain and struggle of living with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Rather than letting my diagnosis overwhelm, discourage or embarrass me, I’ve decided to turn my difficulties into skills that help others. and create happiness.

Some of our employees and even clients also have OCD and I believe we have fostered a community of compassionate people who care for one another and have a strong desire to help through the service of cleaning and making homes and offices a better place for everyone.
